I have been married to Jinger since 1987. Through the decades we have faced many struggles that are common to marriages – communication clashes, conflict complications, unspoken expectations, parenting differences, family leadership, and sex. Through these challenges we have learned to trust God as we depend upon His Word and, as a result, have built a strong, loving marriage.
I enjoy helping people apply the Word of God to their marital relationship and seeing God breathe new life into dying marriages through the counsel of His Word. But that is very different than my youth.
I grew up agnostic, cynical, and sarcastic. However during college I began to search for the truth, for the meaning of life. Through the weight of facts and historical evidence for the Christian faith, I came to believe in the God of the Bible and placed my trust in the Person and work of Jesus Christ. Now I live a life of hope, meaning, and purpose, and I am hungry for others to know the same.
Prior to joining Marriage Revolution I worked as an associate pastor, worship leader, and church counselor. I received my Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary.
